I hold an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy, a Diploma in Counselling and a specialist qualification in Trauma.  I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a United Kingdom Registered Independent Counsellor/Psychotherapist (UKRCP).

My specialist areas of work are traumatic experiences, including Post Traumatic Stress and addictions, particularly alcohol and drugs.  As well as working with substance misusers, I have extensive experience of working with family members affected by another person’s addiction.  I also offer general counselling on a wide range of issues.  Having undergone an enhanced CRB check, I am able to offer counselling to teenagers aged 12-17 as well as to adults.

In addition to private practice, I have worked as a counsellor at a youth enquiry service, in a comprehensive school and at an alcohol and drugs agency

I am a lecturer in counselling and also a professional trainer, offering workshops, seminars and study days on a range of subjects including trauma, substance misuse, cancer and family dynamics.
